Fawn Boston Terrier Puppies

A fawn Boston Terrier has a light tan to golden coat with white markings, in a softer, warmer shade than red. Some fawn puppies have darker "sooty" shading around the eyes or ears.

Fawn is outside the AKC show standard, but fawn Bostons have the same compact build and big personality as any other color, and many families pick them for their unusual look.

Fawn and red overlap, and puppies like our red fawn boys sit between the two shades.

Fawn & White Boston Terrier FAQ

What is the difference between fawn and red Boston Terriers?

Fawn is a lighter tan or golden shade. Red, or liver, is a deeper reddish brown and usually has a liver-colored nose.

Do fawn Boston Terriers have a different temperament?

No. Coat color doesn't affect temperament. Fawn Bostons are the same friendly, playful, people-loving companions as any other Boston Terrier.

Can fawn Boston Terriers be shown?

Not in AKC conformation, because fawn is outside the breed standard. They can still take part in companion events such as obedience, rally and agility.
